About the Team

Thinking about trying out for the team? Dancers are chosen through auditions held each spring for the next school year. Once the team has been chosen, they practice several times in May and over the summer. Dazzlers also attend UDA camp each summer, an intense week of dance where they learn technique, new material and bond as a team. Once the school year begins, the team practices each Tuesday after school and performs regularly at football or basketball games in the fall and winter. As they near competition time, the team will add practices to prepare for the event.

Time Commitment

The Dutch Fork Middle School Dazzlers pride themselves on their commitment to serving the community. In addition to dancing at community events such as the Harvest Hope Benefit Concert and the police department's National Night Out, the team serves the area in a variety of ways. The group has volunteered their time picking up litter along Old Tamah Road, collecting items for the District 5 Snack Pack program and raising money for hurricane victims in the southeast. A favorite community service activity was participating in the Camp Kemo Halloween program, where they implemented a "Wizard of Oz" theme and hosted Camp Kemo trick or treaters.
